Fremont fills a real gap in the East Bay map. Before it opened, anyone on that side of the water was driving to Milpitas or San Jose, and the bridge traffic made that a longer trip than the distance suggests.
Curie Street sits in an industrial and office area rather than a retail strip, so the crowd here is weekday workers more than weekend shoppers. That flattens the queue pattern compared with the mall counters.
The store has too few reviews to judge yet. A rating on a new opening moves by whole points with each new opinion and is better read as missing than as anything else.
The nearest alternatives are Milpitas at 4.5 stars, about fifteen minutes south, and San Jose Hostetter at 4.8.
A new store is worth testing with something plain. Oolong Cold Brew at $6.50 is the cheapest thing on the board and has no milk or cap to hide behind, which makes it the honest test.
For a fuller order, Black Milk Tea at $8.49 plus Brown Sugar Bobo at $1.68 lands under either of the ready-built brown sugar drinks and shows how the shop handles tapioca.
Weekday afternoons are the quiet window here, which is when a capped drink is most likely to reach you before the cloud folds in.
Prices match the rest of the network, so there is no cost argument for driving to one of the older Bay Area stores instead.
